Erkensruhr (Eifel)
During a wet and moody long weekend we visited the area of Erkensruhr and the Ruhr See in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. We were lucky enough to mostly keep it dry during our walks and bicycle ride. During 2 mornings I took my camera to a small brook named Erkensruhr and took some time to play with some longer exposures. I was lucky to capture the beautiful fall colors, somewhat intensified by the moody weather, before they were gone,. We also visited the town of Monschau, a very touristic little town with a castle and beautiful old buildings. The whole area is quite fotogenic and I loved being there even though the COVID infection from a week before caused me to be low on energy. Lots more to be seen there, so another visit is not out of the question at all!
