Speulderbos

The Speulderbos is a forest known for it’s “dancing trees” with its knotted, mossed-covered oaks, and half-rotting tree trunks.. It is part of the Veluwe (Netherlands) and centuries old. Located east of Putten we decided to spend a weekend there during the autumn to visit this forest, well-known to Dutch landscape photographers.   A large part of the forest contains oak, beech and birch trees. This gives the forest a lot of variation. The large amount of dead wood also attrackts a lot of animals. It also provides a good environment for mushrooms. Unfortunately when we got there, autumn had not quite shown the bright orange and yellow colors quite yet. Nevertheless it was a wonderful visit and a reason to go back another time
