On the website of this Nature Park, it says “the singular appeal of the Teverener Heide stems from the variation of wet and dry areas, and closed and open landscapes. Since 1977 the inland dunes and the heather marshes have been under protection. Today, the nature reserve encompasses 450 hectare, and with its unique habitats has contributed since 2001 towards the European network “Natura 2000”.“ We had a very nice walk here as there are several trails. It is quite close to Wildpark The Gangelt, so we combined the two locations on one day. I found it peaceful and quiet although the high temperatures that day may have been part of the reason.
